About Elementary
Welcome to the Chestnut Ridge School District, where we've proudly served our community's families for over 50 years. Established in 1952, our district has a rich history of providing quality, community-based education. Our elementary student body, comprising approximately 300 students, benefits from an average class size of 20, allowing our dedicated teachers to establish individual connections with each student. This fosters a true sense of school community where every family is an integral part.
Central Elementary, home to two pre-kindergarten classrooms, is now our primary school catering to all kindergarten, first, and second-grade students. Our committed faculty ensures that our children receive an academically rich and demanding instructional program. The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) plays an active role in supporting all student and staff endeavors, with parents readily participating in our numerous activities.
Our students thrive in this environment thanks to the strong sense of community shared among students, parents, staff, and neighbors alike. At Chestnut Ridge, we are not just a school district; we are a close-knit community dedicated to the success and well-being of each child. Join us on this educational journey where excellence and community go hand in hand.
