PreK at Central Elementary

PreK classes held at Central Elementary are part of Governor Rendell’s early childhood initative.  Chestnut Ridge School District is one of the programs deemed worthy of the Governor’s $73 million dollar Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts Program.  The classroom opened its doors for students in October 2007.  The students attend classes all day, 5 days a week. Students are provided a snack and a noon meal each day.

Session Time:
8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Transportation is provided to school and from school.

PreK is funded in two ways.  The Pre K Counts Grant provides funding for income eligible children.  Those children not eligible for Pre K Counts are funded by way of tuition. If you have questions about the PreK program call the school district at 814-839-3077.
